Description
Pneumatic butterfly control valves consist of a disc that rotates in a trunnion bearing. Traditional profile discs provide throttling control for disc rotation up to 60o. The patented dynamic streamlined disk is suitable for applications requiring 90o disk rotation.
The butterfly valve control valve is shown as the open position butterfly valve body as shown in Figure 9.
Common applications for pneumatic butterfly control valves are as suction lines for centrifugal gas compressors and blowers, outlet lines for drain buckets, or as large three-way valves in gas lines that pass and bypass heat exchangers (two butterfly valves are required) )replacement of.
The rotary characteristics of this product are intermediate between linear and equal percentage valves. Typical rotation of the disc does not require much torque, but tight closing often requires high torque. Torque is applied by a rod, usually provided by a pneumatic piston, through a lever or a rack and pinion.
